Bed Bug Preparation

1. All bedding (sheets, mattress covers, skirts, pillowcases, etc…) should be stripped from the bed and put into trash bags and taken to the dryer. Please remove the bedding from the trash bags and place them into the dryer on HIGH HEAT for 45 minutes.
2. Curtains, pillows, cushions and cushion covers should be put in trash bags and transferred to the dryer. Please remove these items from the trash bags and place them into the dryer on HIGH for 45 minutes.
3. All dressers should be emptied, the clothes put in trash bags and taken to the dryer. Please remove the clothing from the trash bags and place them into the dryer on HIGH for 45 minutes. Stuffed animals from beds, also.
4. DO NOT FILL THE DRYER. HALF LOADS ONLY.
5. Keep all clean clothing and sheets in new trash bags until needed.
6. Closets should be emptied to the best of your ability.
7. Do not remove mattress or box spring, bed frame, etc… until they have been treated.
8. If the mattress and box spring are disposed of after the treatment, we recommend for them both to be sliced with a knife to ensure they are not utilized by a future individual.
